Multiple-layer battenboard

Triple or more layer boards have two parallel covered layers and one or more central layers with fibres perpendicular to the top layer. Each layer is made of massive wood battens, each board is only made from battens of a single type of wood. The battens of the central layer are glued both longitudinally and transversally, top layer battens have no joints. The layer thickness may vary, determining also the final thickness of the board. Multiple-layer boards are made of a single type of wood.
